Naranzaria near the Rialto Bridge

we spent five nights in venice last year; two places to have a drink - the terrace bar of the westin - views of salute are unbelievable!! second, go to the rooftop of the hotel danieli for a drink. Both places are awesome and the memories you'll have will last forever!!!

Oops. Sorry for the double post!

yes, you can just walk in; the drinks are not inexpensive but the view is worth it. you may also get some complementary snacks (at the rooftop of the danieli they were quite good!)

The hotel La Calcina's restaurant has a lovely wooden deck/patio facing the canal which name begins with G (sorry, can't remember). I don't know if they serve dinner there, though. We had brunch there last May. It is a very nice restaurant, excellent service, pretty blue umbrellas, and a view across the water of pretty architecture. Very peaceful. Not outrageous prices, good menu.

The umbrellas are now off-white, not blue, just to be precise.

My daughter and I had Mother's Day brunch there. I highly recommend it, if you can get a table outside for the view.
