Dressing in Amsterdam

I'm going to Amsterdam in Mid-May. Any advice on what to wear to restaurants (ex. d'Vijff Vlieghen) and clubs.

Ha ha, this seems like a joke question, but seriously, dress super relaxly in Amsterdam, restaurants are relaxed on dress code unless you go to the poshest, and clubs vary from relaxed to no clothes at all!!! Enjoy, it's a very easy going open modern city....

Amsterdam is one of the most casual European cities I've ever visited. I mostly wore my standard issue black pants or skirt and never felt out of place. Do take a jacket--we were there last July and it was very cold (at least to a Floridian).

Black pants are a must, day or night. If you]re young, you may already have a pair of the flat front, flared kind we saw so much of there. <BR>
