Dress Shop - St. Germain Area
 

HI Everyone - I have a very vague parisian dress boutique question that is driving me mad!! Does anyone know the name of this tiny boutique in the st-germain area - close to the seine (quai sait michele maybe?) - definite couture feel with wedding dresses in the window that seem very whimsical, etc? I know this is so incredibly vague, but any ideas out there? Merci!!

You're not talking about Sonia Rykiel, are you? But then... that's not near the Seine at all.

thanks for the responses! it's not sonia reykiel...I can picture the store front perfectly, just not the boutique's name!! The dresses in the window are borderline bizarre - flowers and leaves applied to gauzy skirts, etc. And it's def. on the seine...

It can't be quai St Michel as that is not in St Germain. That's only a very short strip across from Notre Dame in the 5th arr. and has lots of souvenir shops on it, I never noticed a dress boutique there.

It sounds like Max Chaoul which is the only one I found on the quai in St Germain in the phonebook (55 quai Grands Augustins). He has a website, see if that looks right
