Dress code for the ballet at Palais Garnier in Paris

We are going to attend the ballet at the Palais Garnier for the evening performance. What would be an appropriate dress code for a woman? Does it have to be a dress or can it be a nice pantsuit or a nice pair of slacks and sweater? Thank you.

Any of the above is fine. Just look nice and not too casual. There is no dress code but you may feel out of place showing up in jeans, sneakers and a t-shirt.

I was there a year ago and agree with the above poster. Enjoy!

There is no dress code for an ordinary performance. People show up in jeans and trainers if that is their normal look.
