Mary Susan,<BR><BR>The fact that you're concerned about this says you probably don't have to worry about dressing appropriately. With the Parisians, it's not so much a matter of what they wear but how they put it together and how they carry themselves. Wear what makes you feel good. Remember, the staff of the George V is there to entertain you, not the other way around.

Anyone that would stay at the George V or any of the other overpriced hotels is NUTS!!!!! Why spend that kind of money for a room that you seldom are in? CRAZY CRAZY CRAZY!!! Stay at a nice 2 star and pocket the difference. YOU ARE NUTS TO SPEND THAT MONEY ON THAT HOTEL. This is not some looney talking but the voice of experience. After staying at Le Bristol and paying $850 a night for the room, and not even getting breakfast OR a turndown service, I had to ask myself &quot;WHY WHY WHY&quot;....my God, the cost for one night would have paid the whole week in a nice 2 star. Never again, never again.

I rarely wear jeans but make a point of wearing them when I go to Europe just to blend with the locals. Jeans come in different qualities and color. A black pair of jeans will do fine even at the George V. Jeans give a casual daily look that says I'm not a tourist who's trying too hard.

Dear Do Not...there are people that can actually afford hotels like the George every trip they take and like it. <BR>Your advice might be not to stay at the Bristol.
