Dress code at Taverna del Capitano, Marina del Cantone?

Has anyone eaten here? If so, do men require jackets?

Thanks.

Michael, I am missing something - what country are we talking about???

Michael tagged his post as Italy so no doubt that is the country he is visiting.

I haven't eaten there, I've just walked by many times. The restaurant has a website and you can email them to ask directly. Although it's an upscale setting with upscale pricing, I don't think they would require a jacket. Buon appetito!

I, too, would strongly doubt that a restaurant in that resort area, even one as highly regarded as that one, would require a jacket for men. Please let us know what you think of the meal...

If you go to the website you can find all the info you need:

http://www.tavernadelcapitano.it/intro_en.htm

Says nothng about jackets - not does it show any patrons. You could always ask when you reserve.

I am curious if anyone has ever heard of a restaurant in Italy that REQUIRES jackets for men.

Not asking if jackets are proper, asking if they are a requirement.

Yes, I have eaten in restaurants in Rome and Milan that required men to wear jackets. Don't recall the names - since I was a guest - but they were very upscale (and IMHO NOT worth the prices).
