Dordogne house needed Late May, early June
We are 4 adults who would like to rent a house in Dordogne in last week May/first week June. Are there any nice ones, and what town would be good - maybe somewhere near Lascaux caves, although we will have a hire car.
Thanks

Check out www.drawbridgetoeurope.com.
Click France, then Dordogne. You'll find a wonderful looking stone house within walking distance of LaCapelle-Biron, with three bedrooms, one bath, and a pool. It looks great, and before July is less than $1000 for a week.

Many thanks for the advice. Has anybody else stayed in a house in Perigord/Dordogne?

You can check this website :
www.villaconsuls.com
They rent wonderful medieval apartments
in Sarlat.

Last year, I booked a gite directly through the Sarlat Tourist Info with fairly good results. We stayed a few miles south of Sarlat on the road to Beynac-we enjoyed having the convenient proximity to both.

you can see the listings at http://www.otsarlatperigord.fr/index2.html
click on "reservation" and "voir toutes les locations" to browse the listings (the first 2 numbers indicate the max # in the rental), then to inquire about the property click on "reserver".
