Dordogne Accomodations

My extended family and I are starting to plan a trip to the Dordogne and I am interested in renting a house for 10 days to 2 weeks. Does anyone have a specific town to recommend and/or a rental agency that they have had success with?

We used Simply Perigord and were pleased with them.

We haven't actually taken our trip yet, but Simply Perigord has been pretty easy to work with so far.

Here's the place we're renting:

Mr_go's house is in Daglan, which is a real "gem" of a town - very cute. A bit undiscovered by the tourists.

I also have booked but not yet gone. Looked at many, many sites including simplyperigord, justfrance, yourfriendsinfrance, francebyheart, dordognerentals, athomeinfrance, also a particularly intiguing site if you have to accommodate a larger group, lesmilandes.com. My first preference was to go through an agency but because of our particular length of stay of stay/bedroom/bath requirements, I wound up going with a private owner, www.chantepierre-sarlat.com.

St-Cirq has a house that she rents when she's not using it.
