Good luck with getting a reservation! We had a superior twin on the boulevard--corner rooms have the most space--so try for one of those.

There are hundreds of hotels in good locations that are quaint, charming, clean, quiet, and have a "customer first" attitude.

Your call.

Unlike some people who post here I have never, ever had a problem with being treated well in any establishment, whether it was a chain or otherwise.

I tend to think that has been due to my manner of dealing with others including never adopting a condescending tone.

Of course, your experience may have been different.

I have always been treated very well everywhere I have traveled, too. Sometimes getting what I paid for did require adopting a condescending tone, however. But I employ it sparingly, and only after due consideration of the risk/benefit ratio. Sometimes it matters more than others.
