Dooley problem
 

Hi My wife and I arrive at Shannon 11 sept for a 11 day visit. We have emailed Dooley 3 times over the previous 2 weeks to rent a car and not received a confirmation. Reason I was going with Dooley is they would accept Diners club Platinum/ Master card for cdw. also any advice on Ballyshannon or Ardara county Donegal for 2 nights base to see Donegal? Our plan is First night Kinvara, next night Inishmor, 2 nights in Westport, than either Ballyshannon or Ardara, heading back 1 night in Boyle, 1 night Birr, Last night close to Shannon, we want to do Bunratty. Any suggestions on B&B or hotels or alternates appreciated.

I have always spoken with Annette out of the Dooley offices in NJ- she really seems to know what's what. Both times I have rented from Dooley Annette was able to give us a slightly better price than the internet as I book and pay all up front.

If you go to IrelandExpert(Pat Preston) web site, you can get 10% off Dan Dooley rental. I did my rental that way and everything was perfect. I did use the 800 number.

I also called the 800 # to make my res. VERY pleasant and helpful.

Mention you got a coupon from the Milwaukee Irish Fest and you'll not only get 10% off but a free one class upgrade. I really do have a coupon from Irish Fest, but she didn't say I needed to present it at any point, and there is no promo code or anything that you have to give.

Thanks to everyone for the help with Dooley, we called the the NJ number and everything is good. The dooley people at Shannon had received our request and it is now confirmed. Still don't understand why they did not get back to us. Also looked up the web site for the Ashgrove house and booked that as well. So again many thanks

Try the Abbey House in Boyle, right next to the Boyle Abbey. Older home, not a purpose built and a nice place to stay. I've stayed there twice and enjoyed it.
