All I can think is who needs MORE than three pots of the stuff? At least for personal consumption. I googled dietary info out of curiousity and there are actually diet sites out there that feel like they need to tell people that peanut butter is healthier. Like, does anyone really not know that Nutella has a crazy amount of sugar in it? Guess so.

I hate the stuff. It goes along with Marmite and peanut butter!

If the store paid me to carry away a pot instead of wanting me to pay for it, I might take one away as a souvenir. I have never eaten it.

I'm not sure I've ever eaten it either, as it isn't the kind of thing I would ever eat as part of a meal, and I generally don't eat snacks or like sweet things. I do like hazelnuts, though, or even chocolate with hazelnuts in it (candy) but making them into butter and mixing with chocolate just sounds icky to me, to just mix together the two things, and then what would you do with it? I do like Reese's peanut butter cups, but I wold not be interested in taking them and pulverizing them in the blender so it's all just mixed together. I jar of peanut butter at home lasts me over a year.

Not a criticism, but frankly Reese's peanut butter cups are absolutely not better than what Nutella appears to be, just a bit more solid.

Sadly aware of that, but I like Reeses too. Weirdly, not for the taste. The chocolate shell is just a very satisfying thickness to bite into. None of the “gourmet” ones get that right.

The only way I can stand Nutella is if it’s in coffee. That may be less about the Nutella being good and more about I will try any espresso concoction once.

Rat bait, I can't stand it.

Our boys were astonished (and thrilled) to see Nutella at nearly every breakfast we encountered in Italy and France, while hubby and I needed muesli and fruit (fortunately we got that in spades in Switzerland ;))
And Nutella on crepes, who knew that was a thing? Not these Aussie kids.

bad Mum here, mine never had fairy bread...:lol: but they made up for their deprived childhood, that's for sure.

So-called well-traveled people admitting they've never tried Nutella? Not sure what to make of that. It's been a staple item on every Italian hotel breakfast table for as long as I can remember. Not trying it is like saying you've never had an Italian croissant for breakfast.
