Dolomites without using car
 

The places I want to visit include Lago di Braies or Tre Cime di Lavaredo.
I will travel from Milan, I am solo traveller without car (need to rely on public transportation).
I can spend 2-3 days in dolomites, may I ask where would you suggest me to base in and how should I get around the places?

Should I base in Cortina dʼAmpezzo or Ortisei?Is there anywhere nearby you would suggest me to visit ?

Pragser Wildsee/Lago di Braies:
Take a train from Milan to Verona - Bolzano - Fortezza - Dobbiaco/Toblach (2-3 changes).
Dobbiaco - Lago di Braies: buses every hr.
There are hotels at Lago di Braies.
If you want to visit Tre Cime del Lavaredo too, you better stay at Dobbiaco/Toblach.
Ortisei is far away from the 2 places you pan to visit..
