Dolomites - Secede

Is the following route during begin of October is scenic, safe (no free drop off from sides), easy? Also prefer not to be alone on trail.

- Ortisei–Furnes–Seceda cable car
- go to point of view (10 minutes) path 1 to famous photograph.
- keep hiking along Path 1. You’ll pass by the Troier Hut
- After Troier, keep going toward Rifugio Firenze
- At Firenze, swing right onto Path 2, then quickly hook left onto Path 4 — this easy trail leads you to the top station of the Col Raiser cable car.
- float your way down to Santa Cristina, hop a bus back to Ortisei

Is it worth to do it in respect of views etc or nothing special after view at begining?Any other suggestions?

FYI, you can get very specific info (including photos) on alltrails.com

Though sometimes it's nice to be surprised....

Here is something I pulled up from my travel notes from our Seceda hike some years ago (in September), largely consistent with your route:

As we arrived at the Seceda summit station, we first walked in the direction of Rifugio Troier– the views of the mountain ridge (Fermeda) and the valley below were terrific. We then headed onwards to Pieralongia, and enjoyed the glorious setting with the famous twin rock spires and the company of friendly donkeys grazing nearby! We then passed around Lech da Iman and headed to Rifugio Firenze. After a sort rest and refreshment break, we continued to the Baita Odles (many farm animals on site) and then took the Col Raiser lift back to St Christina after a brief rest at the Col Raiser station/restaurant.

We didnt find the route dangerous, and while the view of the ridge is breathtaking, the entire route is glorious. One of our best days out in the Dolomites.

I thought this was going to be a political thread about Sudtirol nationalism :)
