Dolomites Hiking

Hi all, heading out to the Dolomites for a hiking holiday in June and am wondering if anybody knows of any in-depth websites that list good day routes?

I've taken at my usual stalwarts, Komoot and AllTrails, but there are a fairly limited set available on those. Are there any good local sites that exist similar to the plethora that detail hiking in the French/Swiss Alps?

Thanks in advance!

Where are you staying? I based in the Val Gardena and found buckets of maps and routes available locally when I was there. Also plenty on the website: https://www.valgardena.it/en/

My hotel also had a plethora of information.

You know what, rather embarrassingly I hadn't thought to check the town website... I've got too used to hiking primarily in Scotland and France where I've found town websites to be little more than poorly formatted marketplaces! We're staying up near San Candido and the local Drei-Zinnen website is actually really thorough!

Thanks for the suggestion. No hotel so somewhat at the mercy of my own research, but this should go a long way to helping. :tu:

In addition to the town websites, which are a great resource, there are many blogs out there that might be helpful:

We're been to the Dolomites in 2016 (only for 4 days) and were based in Val Gardena. It's a gorgeous place! We're looking to return this June, but maybe a slightly different area. tl266, I'm wondering how you chose San Candido....To others, what's your favorite spot in the Dolomites? Looking for day hikes and scenic drives. I understand that's just about the entire area, but still, some places might be exceptionally exceptional. Thanks...so good to be planning a trip again!!

Pasqualino,

my fave is the Alta Badia. SO many stunning drives begin from or so near this area. It’s situated on the opposite side of the Garden Pass, which separates Alta Badia and Val Gardena.

We loved our two stays in La Villa, at the Ciasa Montanara.

My daughter based in Bolzano and had easy access to the Alpe di Suisi.
