CAn I make reservations for the English speaking tour by phone?

I must be in a phonetic mode....obviously it should be Palace

My hotel in Venice made reservations for us. If you find a phone number please post it as we need to add more people to our tour.

I recently e-mailed my hotel and they took care of this for me for my upcoming trip.

When I went in late May the English speaking tours were given three times a day(9:55AM, 10:55AM and 11:55AM). We made the reservation the day we arrived for the next day. All three times had available space. The cost is 12.50 euros, but includes entrance to the rest of the Palace, which is very worthwhile. The general admission is 11.00 euros and some of the people in our tour did the Palace one day & the Tour the next costing them an extra 11.00 euros.

Hi

From the USA call 011 39 041-522-4951 several days before your visit to Doge?s Palace

Ira,

I tried that number and it's been changed.

The new number for same day or next day tickets is: 011 039 041-271-5911

The number for reservations more than one day ahead is 011 39 041-520-9070

I just called and made my reservations.

Dick,

I managed to get the second number you have listed (for advanced reservations)from calling the old number, but it's consistently busy. Anyone else have this problem? Guess I'll keep trying or make the reservations when I arrive.

I guessI just got lucky. I got through the first time I tried ( about 8:45am ET)

Book as soon as you know your dates. We tried booking three days in advance (this was in the last two weeks) and all the Secret tours were full!

We took the generic tour but feel we missed out on this special opportunity .

We just got back from Venice yesterday.

The Secret Itineraries tour is FABULOUS...and only E 3.50 more than the regular tour. The tour lasted almost and hour and half and went behind the scens to rooms not available otherwise. Only 8 people on the tour so that must be why it sells out early.

They even took us into the attic above the grand "ballroom".

Fascinatiting and informative tour...I highly recommend it.

If you're going in the summer, be prepared to sweat. Much of the tour is in the upper floors and they make you stand in some old prison cells. Take a hand held fan with you and it is ok to wear shorts. I wore shorts, wife wore shorts and sleeveless shirt.
