Does ticket to Delacroix allow entry to Louvre?
I've read that a ticket to the Louvre allows entry to Musee Delacroix on the same day. Is the reverse possible? ie if one visits Musee Delacroix first does that ticket allow entry to the Louvre?
Thanks to anyone who knows |
here is the info from the musee Delacroix, confirming what you read "somewhere":
http://www.musee-delacroix.fr/en/mus...or-information here's the info for the Louvre - I'm afraid that the website doesn't clearly answer your question: http://www.louvre.fr/en/hours-admission/admission#tabs this website suggests that it is a combined ticket: http://www.louvre.fr/en/expositions/delacroix-writer Why don't you just get a ticket for the Louvre? you can do that on line and therefore avoid the problem of queuing. |
Thanks annhig. I agree. I had already looked at the links you supplied. It's not clear. Just wondered if someone else had already been to Delacroix and then to Louvre.
As for booking on line - I could and will as long as it isn't date specific. My problems with mobility can mean that I can't guarantee being able to attend on a specific date. It's a day by day thing. Shall have a look at online booking. |
Checking the Musée Delacroix page in French, it is written that the admission is 6€ for Delacroix and 12€ for the combined ticket Delacroix + Louvre for a visit in a single day

Thanks Parisian. That does sound promising. I shall start at Delacroix.

Hi 2012 MOVING,
I am happy that PARISIAN was able to answer your query. I did visit the MUSEE DELACROIX a few years back. My Museum Pass had expired so the cost was €5. It is a delightful small venue on the Rue Fustenberg in the heart of Sainte Germain near the Rue de Buci - a lovely little square. Their sign is unobtrusive so I had a bit of difficulty finding the place but enjoyed my visit. You mentioned a "mobility issue" - I believe there are stairs involved at the site but not sure. |
