Does this mean I have a reservation at Paris' Lux Hotel Picpus?

"Your request was sent to Au Lux Hôtel Picpus at [email protected]

AFTER THE HOTEL WILL HAVE CONFIRMED AVAILABILITY TO YOU,
YOU MUST CONFIRM YOUR BOOKING.

To do so, you can use our secured confirmation form by clicking on the button or the URL below :"

The above is what I copied from an email I recieved today, after sending in a request for a reservation. Does this mean I am waiting for the hotel to tell me if they have a room or that they actually made a reservation for me and I just need to confirm it?

I did not give any credit card information, so I am assuming that a room was not actually reserved.

I think it is only an acknowledgment of your request, just saying they have received it. They send you a link for you to use when they actually answer you :)

I agree with kenderina.
Also if this is not the hotel's booking page, you might want to cut out the middleman by dealing directly with the hotel using the email address that was provided.

yeah, I would interpret it that way also. The hotel is just going to quote a vacancy for you, if they have one. Either way, you are going to get notice from the hotel and must confirm the reservation, so you'll find out.

Thank you, Kenderina. That's what I thought, but wanted to be sure.

thanks, too, robjame and Christina - we were posting at the same time.
