Does Sorrento Italy have Laundromats, self service washing (Launderette)

I am seeking information if you have found any self service Laundromats / launderettes in Sorrento Italy. I hope in a city this size there is somewhere to wash our clothes, if we do not stay in a hotel and the apartment does not come with washing machine, but I am not having much luck in finding anything.
Thanks,

Sorrento does, indeed, have at least 1 laundromat which I used one evening. It's not far downhill (toward the water) on a small alley off Corso Italia near the Casa Astarita where I stayed.

Of course it does. Go to www.google.it and type in Sorrento lavanderia.

Was this not covered in your guidebook(s)? Those by the Rough Guide and Lonely Planet (among others) routinely provide information about laundry and other needs.

IMHO, the majority of the proletariate use laundromats in Europe; Sorrento not being an exception.

Even IF your apartment HAS a washer ( even IF is listed as a washer/dryer) clothes will NOT dry in the machine but will be pretty damp and have to be hung up to actually dry. Allow for time for this; do NOT wait to wash clothes until the last night or you will likely be packing damp clothes.

IF you end up in hotel, consider having them do some of your laundry (heavier clothes like jeans etc) and perhaps washing lighter things yourself in sink.

There is always a debate on here as to whether or not one should waste any time doing laundry (by hand in sink or at laudromats) and should have it all done by someone else. That is a personal call.
