xxx-
I found this on the BA website

British Airways are the first airline to offer a specifically designed seat for infants/babies. Designed by Britax, the seat is ideal from 6 months to 2 years, but could also be used from birth. The seat can be used in a variety of positions from horizontal to vertical.

Carrycots and infant seats are available on the following types of aircraft/routes:
Boeing 747, Boeing 777 (longhaul), Boeing 767 (longhaul), Boeing 767 (to Athens & Larnaca & Tel Aviv & Moscow), and DC10 aircraft only.
These seats are normally located at the front of each cabin section (the bulkhead position), therefore when you make your booking please request a bulkhead seat to ensure the carrycot position.

my question is .....do you pay for that seat?!
I've only flown with a baby on BA from London to Scotland, but based on that I suspect that they will make you pay for the seat. On the internal flights, if the flight is not fully booked then you will be given, for example, seats 4a and 4c, giving you a space in the middle which is vital with a baby! However, if you want to be sure of the seat then the only way they can organise this is for you to book it in advance.

best advice is to contact the agent who you are booking the flight through to obtain professional advice or ring BA direct on 0845 7733377 or check their web site out :- britishairways.com
