Jim Morrison's life story courtesy of Dennis Leary.

"I'm drunk, I'm nobody.
I'm drunk, I'm somebody.
I'm drunk, I'm dead."

Jim Morrison ladies and gentlemen.
Yawn.

Geez!
Is this trash Jim Morrison day??? I don't believe Diane ever Asked if you liked him!!!
And, BTW...Who the heck is DENNIS Leary, anyway? Sounds like he coulda' learned a bit of poetry from Jim IMHO...probably just jealous of Jim because no one knows who he is...or cares...
Whatever, boys.

It is a disgrace to the human race to call Jimmy a drunk... He did so much
for the development of human mind and soul that he deserves at least some credit.

Oh Igor, namely what? What exactly did poor Jim Morrison do "for the development of human mind and soul"?!
Gimme a break, man.

Nope, sorry. That's not an answer. I have already read/heard his lyrics.
Hallucinogenic dreams don't help humanity...if that's all you meant.

has anyone been out to the plot this year? Last year I was told that this year his plot would be dug up because it had only been paid for up until the year 2000.

I read in the newspaper on 10/12/00 that most folks in that cemetary only have 30 years leases????? Morrison's has been leased to perpetuity (SPELLING!)

I think I read that his next 30 year lease was paid, so he's not going anywhere any time soon.

Yes he is staying (sadly for the neighboring gravesites). Just this week his father paid the lease on the site and the director of the cemetery accounced that contrary to rumour, there were no plans to move his body out. So, Big Fan and Igor, you can continue to go visit your "hero" and trash the area around his grave and desecrate the surrounding graves.

Perhaps you might consider helping the poor old man next door clean his wife's grave while you ponder how your beloved Morrison helped humanity. Gee, maybe next year we can nominate him for a posthumous Nobel Peace Prize!

When did I say that I trashed the cemetery and desecrated graves?

Why would you insinuate that anyone who is a fan of Morrison automatically trashes the cemetery.

I think that you have carried this debate too far.
