Does anyone know the site www.hotelclub.net?
Hello everyone!
I have found on that site some great deals on Rome hotels and i was wondering if it's accurate. As i have never booked a room in Europe that way before, i want to know if the rooms they provide are ok, or the "worst" of each hotel!
Thanks for any feedback!

They are part of the Cendant Group, huge travel marketing corporation. The list of subsidaries is a very long one.

Look at www.cendant.com for more info.
Will this guarantee a satisfactory service?
With a company this size, it will guarantee that it's not a fly-by-night operation, but as we all know, sometimes it just takes one bad seed to mess a nice vacation for any one individual. To be fair, that could also happen when dealing directly with a hotel, airline, cruise line, etc.
I wouldn't worry too much about this company and if you are finding something to your liking on their web site, go for it. Always read the fine print, always look at the FINAL price before committing and you should be fine.
Good luck!

From what I've read on Flyertalk and elsewhere, it can take several days for a reply to get back to you with availability info, and in the meantime you are committed as the company has taken your credit card number for a non-cancellable reservation. The other issue is that sometimes, just as happens occasionally with Expedia or Orbitz, the hotel somehow fails to find out about the reservation. So if you do make a reservation, be sure to follow up by telephone or email a few days later.

Hello, I booked a room in Moscow for 1 night to return from river cruise. It was a very good rate. It did take a day or two in the beginning to get the hotel response and booking finalized. After a very bad winter of asthma we decided to cancel Russia for this year. I cancelled the room and got a refund excluding a small booking fee with no problem whatsoever.
Like you, I had not heard of them before this and was a little skeptical.
I was very pleased with the service they provided even though I actually never got to the room.

The thing about HotelClub is that they, like asiarooms.com, often quote you the lowest rate for a particular property, then when you go to book it, they charge your credit card, and inform you 24 hours later that that rate is no longer available. You have to then get a refund on your credit card. For this reason, I don't like using them, and their cancellation policy, as I remember, is very complicated, I last used them a year and a half ago, and would not recommend them.
