Does anyone know of a free IPOD walking tour of Florence?
Hello: Is anyone aware of a way to obtain a free IPOD walking tour of Florence? I have found them for Rome and Venice, but not Florence.

I don't know the answer, but I want to point out that the iPod / podcast format is absolutely brilliant for self-guided tours. Much better than those huge dorky devices.

Here's one - haven't used it myself

Those are terrific, thanks so much. They are all in-depth, each one of one place. Do you (or does anyone)know of a walking tour covering most of the major sites in Florence (obviously this won't be as in-depth, but could take us around, then we could play these more in-depth tours at each place). Thanks so much!!!

Wow!!! Thanks for the post and the answer. I was just going to look for such. The only ones I had seen were about $20 each.

RNSuzanne,
You may want to take a look at the walking tours I had posted last year (2006). Florence is the second city listed on this thread: http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...p;tid=34761787 |
Thanks so much! I will take them with me.

Hello,
Another great site for ipod downloads is pocketvox.com. These will cost 5 euros each but each tour lasts about 2 hours. They are really great and give indepth information. They are easy to follow also. Donna |
