I seem always to go to Spain or Germany. Austria runs a close second. My next trip will be Spain again, and then Germany, but in both cases I want to work on polishing my languages. After these two trips, I want to branch off and go either to Croatia and Slovenia or Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia.

I wish I could afford to take two trips a year. I'm switching my pitiful mutual funds to a better company, so maybe I'll be able to do that if I stay only two weeks at a given destination.

St. Gilgen, Austria - 4 times
Hallstatt, Austria - 4 times
Rothenburg ob der Tauber - 5 times
Bodensee - 4 times
Rhine/Mosel River area - 6 times
Salzburg - 4 or 5 times
Lucerne - 4 times

Have also been back to London twice and Vienna 3 times after living there in the early 1980's.

While we have returned to these places over the years, we always include new towns in our itinerary to keep it fresh.

Yes, we go back to some places over and over.
Paris - over 100 visits
Vienna - about 10 visits
Dresden - three times, more visits to come
Lugano (Switzerland) - about 10 visits (but as we live in Switzerland, most of those are week-end breaks)
Gstaad - 4 times (in the past two years)
Brussels - many times (but we used to live there)
London - dozens of times, but we lived in a commuter town about 40 minutes away and most of those were day trips
Angers - about six times. Angers was the first city I ever visited in France, so I have a soft spot for it. And we both like it - it's our favourite place in the Loire Valley.

We also try new places every year - I get about seven weeks of paid holiday each year, so ít's easy to go back to an old favourite or explore someplace new

We have been lucky enough to go to Europe once or twice a year for about 16 years. Around 21 trips, and all to England, France and Italy.

Our most common places to go back to are Paris, London, Venice, Florence and Rome. I could leave right now for any of those places.

We always see new places, too, but for various reasons, find ourselves drawn frequently to each of those cities.

In the US, we go to NYC at least once a year, and quite often more. We used to go to San Francisco fairly often, too, but have been concentrating more on Europe since we've had an empty nest.

Yes, Paris. We are trying to make it every other trip or at least add another destination to our Paris trip. Something very addicting (for us) about Paris.
