Does anybody have any info on...

Tim, I'm trying not to be rude here --- BUT that has got to be one of the silliest thread titles ever!

What on Earth does "Does anybody have any info on..." tell anyone that you are asking about a specific farmhouse in Istria???

If you want help don't try being so cute w/ your titles -- spell out what you are asking so anyone who has been to or heard of Skabe MIGHT see your thread.

Perhaps you are right Janis. I'm still relatively new here. I guess after a previous post was ignored I thought a bit of cuteness may improve my chances. I guess different strokes for different folks, eh? Anyway, I appreciate your constructive criticism.

I have bookmarked the site. Thanks! WE live about 2 hours away and are always looking for special places.
Cheers,
Jan

You are more than welcome SloJan. We will be there in late October. Do you happen to know when the foliage changes colors in the Bled or Istria areas, by the way? It struck me that fall colors in the Alps may be stunning.

Hi
Hate to tell you that Istria is no where near the Alps. I was there last September. Istria is on the Agean with a really nice climate.

Sorry you didn't get a reply to your first posting. Sometimes you can try posting a ttt (to the top) once is has dropped low and this brings your question back to the top and improve your chances for a response. A good title obviously helps.

Good luck.
Sandy

Thanks Sandy... just caught that from the other reponse. And for Aeiger, I do know that the Alps are a ways away, but I plan to be in Bled in Slovenia prior to Istria. But I do believe that Istria is on the Adriatic and not the Aegean. I'll have to double-check my geography but that is what I've been planning for anyway. Thanks all.
