Does Air India serve beer & wine

We will be flying Air India in the fall. We have heard the negative and the positive. I am praying to the airline Gods that the plane will be a newer one. That said, will I get my glass of wine? Thanks

I haven't flown them but I was recently chatting at lunch with a colleague. He recently flew AirIndia NY to Bombay on new 777 and said it was the best plane, best service he's seen on any airline.

J62 - Did your colleague also say how full the flight was? Reports is that the non-stop JFK-BOM is usually less than half full, often much less.

Thank you all for the info! The 777 is what we will be hoping for. We have lucked out with most of our flights to Europe on various airlines. Often I suspect it is our own attitude. Happy travels. Shirley

ORD - FRA Route is served by a 747-400 aircraft on Air India. Some are older models and some have updated cabins w/personal screens.
