Does a 2year multiple entry schengan visa exist?

Hi all, so I just wanted to know if it was possible to get a MULTIPLE ENTRY schengan visa for 2 years. I know that I'll only be able to stay in a schengan country for 90days. I have a SOUTH AFRICAN passport.

From the other threads we already know you can't get a student visa so what you're looking for a resident visa and those are issued on a country basis.

You need to consult the embassy of the country in which you would spend the most time. I think few people here are from SA and probably don;t know.

It doesn't seem very likely. What would be the basis of your entries?

Yes, such visas exist but whether you get one or not is another matter. Normally such visas aren't given to tourists but only to business visitors and those with a legitimate reason for needing one, such as someone owning business or property portfolio in Schengen or having close family members (e.g. children in boarding schools). You can apply for it but whether you get one is at the discretion of the embassy/consulate processing it.
