Do you take a surge protector

Do you take a surge protector to Europe when traveling with a laptop? I am thinking of getting a Franzus All-In-One Adapter and surge protector. Do you think this is necessary?

I will be going to Greece and taking my eee pc

It's not a bad idea at all.

If you really, really, really have to have your laptop, a surge protector is a good idea.

Never, but given the exchange rate these days I do try to bring a splurge protector.

The adapter that came with my Asus EEE has a built-in surge protector. It is printed on the front of the plug.

I leave my splurge protector at home. He has a fear of flying. Good for me.

AFAIK, all laptops (and most GSM phones) have a surge ptotector. i.e. The adapter. I have used my laptop in so many countries without any problems. One just needs an appropriate adapter depending on the country.
