Do you see the striped Basque napkins and runners in Provence markets?

I love some of the very brightly colored Basque linens--but we won't be in the Pays Basque this year. Do you know if they sell the brightly striped napkins and cloths in the markets in St. Remy or Uzes--I realize I can go into a linens store to buy--but curious if one sees at good prices in the markets. Many thanks for your help.

I doubt that you will find them at the markets. Even in Basque country these items tend to be in stores, not on the markets.

I've never seen them in innumerable trips to Provence markets.

No, I haven't seen them in the markets but did see them in the French Basque country and on line.

Thanks all--to the stores I shall go alors.

I've learned that you often get better prices in the stores than in a market. As a matter of fact, I got a better price for things in a shop in Ceret, than the same items were selling for that very day in the big market a few streets over...although I suppose you could bargain on the street, but I suspect you would end up with the shop price. Plus the lady on the shop gift wrapped my items beautifully...
