Do you like Delsey or Rimowa ultralight hardsided wheeled luggage?

Hi,

I'm in need of unbreakable but lightweight luggage. Is Rimowa worth the premium? It costs about twice as much as Delsey.

It also appears that while Delsey has a telescoping handle that is adjustable (I'm tall), Rimowa does not.

Delsey's two-wheeled base looks more maneuverable, but it also looks more likely to tip over.

Any comments or recommendations? I appreciate it. Thanks!

Go to www.ebags.com. See if there are any reviews of either one.

There might also be reviews at 1800luggage.com

I can tell you that I love my Romowa luggage. I got a great deal on my two pieces by purchasing them through Lufthansa - although I don't know if they are still selling them.

They're easily to manoeuvre, light, light, light ! and I just did a ten day trip using only the small one - I can get a lot of stuff in it !

Would both of you let us know which Rimowa pieces you would recommend? Is there any "give" at all or are the sides rigid? It certainly is handsome!

ekscrunchy..

I have both the small and medium size (sorry I don't know precise measurements !) pieces. They roll easily and the mechanism inside the luggage doesn't take up much room at all.

The sides are, I gues you'd call them semi-rigid. I haven't had a problem with anything I've carried in them getting damaged. If they do get a "ding" or dent, you can just push it out from the inside and they're good as new.
