I just read an article about eatwith.com at matadornetwork.com/trips/eatwith-com-the-airbnb-of-food. Has anyone tried it?

Looks interesting but I can see how it would not appeal to the majority of travelers.

I tried this on the recommendation of a friend and glad I did. Best meal of my entire holiday in barcelona and i got to meet other locals and travelers around the same table...not sure i'll go back to restaurants after this really cool experience!

I've used Mealsharing.com for traveling and for when I've moved to new cities! I moved twice for work this year, and both times I was able to find a cool mealsharing community in new place where I didn't know a lot of people before. I really liked mealshaing because I liked cooking, and prefer eating with locals
