Do the Hotels provide little bottles of Shampoo and Skin Cream in Italy?

I was shopping for things to take to Italy on our trip, and I'm just wondering if the hotels generally provide little bottles of shampoo and skin moisturizer, as is common in most North American hotels.

If you are staying in 4 or 5 star hotels for sure. In three star hotels, it is questionable. You will probably find shampoo, but body cream is doubtful.

No body cream - just shampoo. One 3-star hotel had a combo body/hair "shampoo" dispenser in the shower. If you are in Florence, stop by the SM Novella perfume shop near the train station to buy special potions there - absolutely dreamy soap and other concoctions for the body!

Hi--we have just returned form 3 weeks in Italy--3 and 4 star hotels--shampoo, soap, even showercaps and shoe shine sponge, but no lotion. Have a great trip.

Robyn France
