Do NIN in 1 or 2 days?
 

I'll be doing the NIN ( Bergen to Oslo)by myself in mid march. I'm thinking whether to do the NIN in two days or one. Two days meaning staying in Flam for a night so that I can see the Flam-Oslo leg in daylight instead of night. Any opinion ??

If you are doing NIN from Bergen in one day, you would probably be taking the 16:50 Flam-Myrdal train and 17:54 Myrdal-Oslo train.

You have about .5-1 hour before sunset from Myrdal before March 25 and 2 hrs before after March 26.

The pretty part of this trip was Flam -Myrdal, which is completed before sunset any time in March.

For Myrdal-Oslo, the prettiest part was the first few hours, facing South. So on or before 3/25, you will hit sunset quickly.

I'll be there 29th March. Meaning I could see the view even it's in March. ?? Or should I be safe and stay a night in Flam. Is there anything interesting in Flam??

Flåm is a "major" transport hub of the area and is setup to deal with a lot of passengers because you can be in Flåm at the same time as one or two of these boats: https://goo.gl/maps/d2vXeHfYUUL2. It also gets a lot of bus tours dropping off and picking up passengers doing Fjord cruises.

You can take various day Fjord trips originating from Flåm. If this kind of landscape interests you, it is setup like a resort. I did Bergen-Oslo as a one day trip last year. I was not interested in spending overnight in Flåm, because I can get to a similar landscape as a day trip from home. I wanted to allocate more time in Oslo.

So ur suggesting the extra day in Flam to be spent in Oslo ??

Daylight should not be an issue in late March, light to late in the evening once clocks are adjusted for summer time. Flåm is rather boring off season, and is just a crowded transport hub in season. Not worth considering as a destination in itself. If you do stop in Flåm then take an early departure to Oslo next day to get more of scenery in daylight and an early arrival in Oslo.
