Do I qualify as an EU senior?

Hi,

My travel book for Athens, says many sightseeing destinations offer a discount to EU seniors. I'm 56 - do I qualify.

thanks,

Hopeful oldie

I don't know. Are you an EU citizen? Seriously, many of those discounts require some sort of proof of EU citizenship, excluding other tourists. When they are not required the minimum age is usually 60 or 65. I'm not sure I've seen anything there that considers 56 a senior.

No Ralph. You do not qualify because you are only 56 ypung and because you are Canadian or at least that's what I concluded from your e-mail address

What about EU don't you understand? EU residents know if they are same - obviously you are not.

Hi,
Thanks to first 2 responders. Had thought that perhaps EU senior referred to someone who was defined as a senior by EU standards, but it makes sense that it means someone who actually lives in EU.

Responder #3 - why spread negative energy?

Well...there are many discounts which apply to all seniors, from the EU or not, but definitely, 56 isn't "senior"..
