Do I need a car? Advice please re: Bellagio/Lauterbrunnen

Jump to last reply

Would you please have a look at my itinerary and let me know if you think I will need a rental car at any point in my trip, or would public transportation suffice throughout? My husband and I would be traveling with 2 large pieces of luggage and 2 carry-on bags because we will be packing for a wedding in Positano and then hiking in Switzerland. I’ve heard the Swiss rail system is wonderful, but will we be limiting our sightseeing by not having a car? Also, how easy is it to get from Luzern to the Zurich airport without a car?

Arrival into Milan airport the first week of June
4 nights in Bellagio
5 nights in Lauterbrunnen
2 nights in Luzern
Departure Zurich airport
