I thought of this thread this morning standing in the Boucherie in Souillac, the small town where we do our Friday market shopping. The older lady in front of me said she lived close by, and so one of the staff walked up the hill with her, carrying her parcels. Not likely to do it for a tourist, but personalized service still exists.

They deliver. The selection of food is better at Monoprix though, and the minimum spend for delivery is less if you go round with a trolley and take it to the delivery counter in store (€50 as opposed to €70 or €80). BUT I think you need a store card for that lower minimum spend. If you sign up to the store's online newsletter they frequently have discounts on, or even free, delivery, if you buy certain items (for example, it's frequently cases of water!). So sign up for the online newsletters and maybe the store cards too if you can manage it :)
