Do Dutch Folk Wear "Do Not Euthanize" Bracelets?
 

A question for folks traveling in Holland and for Dutch folk - Rick Santorum, leading candidate for the Republican Party nomination for President says 'that Dutch people wear 'Do Not Euthanize' bracelets' - meaning of course that the Dutch are worried that if they get ill and have to be hospitalized they will not then be routinely euthanized as he also charges - saying the Dutch euthanize older folk routinely regardless of condition just to save taxpayer moneys.

Q - Has anyone traveling in Holland or Dutch residents ever seen a "Do Not Euthanize" bracelet.

Q - If you go to Holland will you or should we wear "Do Not Euthanize" bracelets for our protection?

Where can I buy such a bracelet? At Schiphol Airport shops on arrival>

Totally ridiculous; I cannot believe that they have candidates who utter this kind of rubbish. There is absolutely no truth in this.

Once again folks anyone traveling to Holland needs - ABSOLUTELY needs a do not euthanize bracelet - your life could depend on it!

My husband travels routinely to The Netherlands on business. I'd better warn him....lol.

I'm not sure about the bracelets, but an article in the 1999 Journal of Medical Ethics confirmed that involuntary euthanasia happens in the Netherlands.

1999 - it is now 2012 - read the Dutch government guidelines about euthanasia in practice.

You had better believe it! And they utter worse than this.
Hard to believe such things go on in a western democracy in the 21st century but they certainly do.

How about Herman Cain, who has left the race but was a 'real' candidate at one time... he got his tax plan from a video game and quoted the Pokemon movie! Santorum thinks birth control is 'wrong' (maybe he's confused and thinks he's running for pope!) and Romney, as basingstoke2 has pointed out, baptizes dead people and thinks he'll get his own planet to rule over after his own death.

So yes, they certainly utter an amazing amount of rubbish. What's even more amazing is how many people actually go along with it.

Some carry a card, so its not a bracelet

Whenever I travel in Europe I carry all of my "Do Not..." bracelets. These include "Do Not Feed Me Pate", "Do Not Steal My Bright White Sneakers", "Do Not Give Me Inexpensive Health Care", and of course "Do Not Kill Me Unless I Am Enjoying RyanAir".

Now that I know the real truth thanks to Santorum and his compatriots, I find it appalling at night that the wagons come rattling around European cities with the cart puller yelling "Bring out your dead". And wow, if you sneeze more than twice in a row, BAM, the infamous Dutch Kill Team is right on you.
