Do boats run in October on Dalmation Coast?
I've searched and can't find out if the ferries run from Dubrovnik to Korcula to Split after mid October.
We are planning a trip and wanted to do 5 days there if it's a good time. We've used this forum for each Europe trip over the past 6 years and TKS for all your help! |
Hi donw, You might want to post this on a travel forum on Croatia.www.visit-croatia.co.uk
There is a travel agent from Britain who is a regular poster on the forum there and may be able to answer your question. I am wondering if perhaps mid October is the low season and perhaps the schedules for the Jadroinija ferries aren't finalized yet.Hope this helps |
you can also email Jadrolinjia - they've answered my emails

Tks for info.
I've tried emailing and got returned emails from them. |
I am also planning a trip to Croatia in October and I became frustrated because I could not find ferry schedules. I emailed Jadroinija asking what the schedule is for that time period. I recevied a response back saying that they haven't finalized the schedule but are expecting to finalize it within the next couple weeks and it will be posted on their web site.

Jadrolinija's coastal service from Dubrovnik to Split via Korcula and Stari Grad normally runs twice weekly in winter. Local ferries from the mainland to Korcula are much more frequent, and buses run along the coast between Dubrovnik and Split about every hour.

We are traveling from Dubrovnik to Korcula in early October. I don't know if you will have a car or not. But we will be driving from Dubrovnik to the Peljesac penninsula where in the town of Orebic we will pick up the ferry to Korcula. If you do not have a car, perhaps there is bus service to Orebic.

There are buses from Dubrovnik to Korcula which travel on the ferry from Orebic. Details of all connections to the island are on www.korculanet.net.
