hi.we are goin to eurodisney to celebrate our daughter 2nd year birthday .and wish to know the best activities for a 2yr old.i read about the meeting the characters on their website but i wish to know how to do it. is it possible for us to have a small birthday birthday with the characters around? we are planning to stay at the magic circus hotel. is it a good choice? also i have seen videos of fireworks display at disneyland in america,is it the same here n if so are guests staying at hotels outside the park watch this show? it says the park closes at 6pm so how do we see this fireworks dislay if there is one? is it a good idea to stay close to disney land n commute to paris for sightseeing? we would like to stay in one hotel only n since disney land is our priority i was thinkin we would stay close to it n go itnto paris to see the tourist sights. please suggest. we are travelling in 2 weeks.thank you

Disney in Paris is NOTHING like Disneyworld in FL - ajnd frankly I think there is not much there for a 2 year olf to do (too small for many of hte rides). If it closes at 6 pm - it's closed. Nothing happens later.

I would wait until the child is older and can enjoy/appreiate it more - and just visit Paris.

I agree a two year old is too young to really get much out of Disney, anywhere. It sounds like you want to go for yourself, and if so, okay, but admit it. The website tells you about the birthday and character thing.

I think the park is open past 6 pm on Sat and Sun, like to 9 or 10. It's open more in the summer (until 11 pm daily), but the hours are reduced in off-season, I believe.

I don't know about hotels or fireworks. I've heard they do fireworks in the summer after the parade.

i know my 2 yr old wont remember much,but am totally fascinated by the whole idea of her bein surrounded by the characters n the whole set up!!!n no am not a fan of rides so its not for me!!!sine we have a meeting in paris n around the same time as her birthday we thot we'd throw in disneyland!!!the website doesnt say much abt booking the characters for a birthday party!i just want to know is it convenient to get to paris using public transport from disneysland paris..we wish to stay in one place n not shuttle between hotels as we just have 2 days for paris!

We went to Disneyland Paris with our (nearly) 2 year old and she was petrified of the characters and burst into tears any time they came near her! Goofy was the worst...

That said, although it was insanely busy when we were there so we didn't get to do much due to the queues, there are plenty of things for little ones to enjoy, like the carrousel, Peter pan ride, Small World, Dumbo, steam boat, etc.

The highlight for our little girl was actually the parade, which she was enchanted by (characters at a nice safe distance, not leaping out from behind a tree and frightening the life out of her!!)

Save your money and go another time. Clowns and large characters terrify many children, and why imprint that so soon. Also, this is not a text message site.

I am always fascinated with the argument that there is no point in doing something simply because you might not remember it later. How many adults really choose their activities based upon this same bizarre assumption. Most likely we chose our activities because they appeal at the time, not because we hope to remember the details well into retirement.

Your two year old child will certainly enjoy DLP and there are plenty of attractions for a child of that age: the Carousel, Dumbo, Casey Jr. train , the Petting Zoo, Sleeping Beauty´s Castle, The Land of the Fairies boat ride, and It´s a Small World. As many time as you the parent can stand it, your child will love seeing It´s a Small World over and over again.

Your child might not appreciate the life-sized characters, nor the dragon lair below the castle but there will be plenty of other attractions. There are fireworks in summer months but not in the cooler months which are much quieter anyway.

A two year old will not see Disney in the same way that you will, but he will have a great time and just watching him and the smile on his face will confirm that.

shrf - Save your money for a time when she can relate her excitement back to you verbally - also won't tire so easily.
(My grandson collpases twice a day for a 2 hour nap.)
It may not seem the same but I assure you she would have just as much fun riding any of the numerous carousels around Paris - they have a specially beautiful one that has rides for teenytots up at the Grand Arche La Defense.

Having just returned from Paris I was so happy to see the two and three yearolds having the time of their lives on the carousel outside the Basilica St.Denis.
If you are not willing to let her loose on that childrens amusement, she could spend hours on the childrens playground in the Luxembourg Gardens or many of the other parks while you soak up the perfect Parisian atmosphere!.
