Discounts with Italy rail passes

Do any of the Italy rail passes also provide discounts for other means of travel or at museums, etc.?

There is a discount (20%?) for a ferry to Greece or Spain, depending on which pass you get. Rail passes for Italy don't include public transport in cities or museums. They also don't include the mandatory seat reservations (required on all, but the slow R trains in Italy). You really need to check the cost of point-to-point tickets on Trenitalia before buying a pass. There are many advance purchase discounts for as little as 9€ for the high speed trains between the major cites and that includes your seat. To reach many cities/towns, buses are the better option as a lot of places aren't served by trains at all.

Some cities/areas have their own local passes which include local transport, museums, discounts for events, etc. Rome had the Roma Pass. The Amalfi coast has the 3 day Campania Arte Card Tutta Le Regione which includes transport in Naples all the way down the coast (the only Arte card that includes transport) and a few free museums entrances (Pompeii, Herculaneum, etc.) with discounts after you use the free admission. Even with the local passes, you need to check transport and admission prices to see if it's a value for you.
