discounts for cable cars in Switzerland
 

Two people spending 8 days in the area of Grindewald and Matterhorn. Is there any recommended way to get discounts on the prices of the cable cars?
Any suggestions appreciated!

A Half Fare Card (costs 110 chf for one month) will also give you 50% off all cable cars and trains.

For Matterhorn, there are mountain ride specific passes if you plan to use rides a lot: http://www.matterhornparadise.ch/en/..._pistes/prices
Peak pass, Panoramic pass, and Hiking passes are probably of interest.

I believe a pass will get you a 25% discount on the rack railway up to the Gornergratt, also
