DISCOUNTED Paris Hotels
 

Many Paris hotels offer August travels, like myself, discounts. I've seen from 10 - 20% from their posted price. Does anyone know if this is just a Paris trend? Should I ask my Loire and Normandy hotels if an August discount is available? I already booked them, did Paris booking last. Thank you.

Debbie- <BR> <BR>It wouldn't hurt to ask. August is the end of the holiday season in Europe, so many hotels might be willing to give you a discount. How long are you planning on staying?

Beth K- Thanks for your response. I usually do ask if any promotion is going on but since I booked Paris last, after Loire and Normandy stays, it is now a thought. Beth, our trip plans for staying only one night at each hotel, but Paris three nights. Each stay is confirmed and it may be too late to ask. The part of trip where we will be in above places is August 12 - 18 and Paris untill the 21th. Perhaps I can send a fax to each re-confirming all (as time is getting close) and simply ask if any promotion is in effect? What do you think?

BETH, just read your posting in, "Where Are You" as the last poster as of 9:30 PM tonight, July 11. You will enjoy the forum. I was told about it in early May and have been on it almost, not quite, every night reading, searching and learning for our upcoming trip in August. All the folks seem to have the love of traveling in common and like to share. Enjoy it!

Debbie, <BR>Definitely request that discount! We were in Paris from July8-11 and stayed at the Hotel Madeleine Palace in the 1st. It was wonderful! I found a terrific discount on www.123france.com/parisotel, and the hotel honored it despite the fact that we were not staying during the discounted dates. My brother-in-law (who does speak fluent French) called and simply requested the discounted rate. Our rooms were even upgraded when we arrived! <BR> <BR>Have a great trip!
