Discount train fares on Bahn.de
another train question
I know one can purchase discounted train fares when they are available. I've been checking the site at midnight Germany time 92 days out and I have yet to come up with the lowest fares that are offered...around €38. Is this because they are snatched up before I get to the site or are the lowest discounted fares not offered everyday on all trains? When I was checking fares earlier in the year there were generally lots of discounted fares available frequently. I'm traveling at the end of June on a Tuesday...going Paris to Munich.
Thanks

You can buy tickets either way round (eastbound or westbound) at www.bahn.de, as they will post tickets or allow self-print. But by all means check www.tgv-europe.com too (say you're from Canada if you're from the US to avoid being bumped to Rail Europe).
The availability of the chapest rates varies like air fares. Fridays they're rarer than they are on mid-week departures, June is busier than February, and so on.
There's a timetable change in mid June, this may mean data is loaded late, but if fares and times appear, that should mean the data has indeed been loaded for those dates.

Thanks for your responses. at the stroke of midnight, German time, I logged onto the Bahn site. I was able to book 2 second class tics Paris to Munich for 78€. I was thrilled! I had to pay the postage fee since I am traveling and don't have access to a printer but that was a mere 3.50€.
