Discount rail passes in France

Jump to last reply

I go to France regularly and use SNCF quite often. I suspect there is a web site and suggest you search. However there are several discount cards you can hold. With your marriage certificate (or partnership certificate) you can get a Carte Couple entitling two people travelling together off peak (Periode Bleue on the railway timetables "calendriers") to get 50% reduction off the second ticket. This cots nothing to acquire but you will need two photos an your certificate. My wife and I found our passports were NOT enough. Having got one, we now renew automatically each year in minutes. Go to main information offices on LARGE stations.
