Discount Cards for Amsterdam - which one?
 

Heading to Amsterdam for 6 days in April. Expect to bike one day and go to Keukenhof another day, but otherwise will be doing the city. That means museums and walking the city to enjoy sights. I just reserved tickets for Anne Frank museum ( THEY PUT MORE ON THEIR WEBSITE- GO DO IT!) and had to pay for them.
Planning to do Van Gogh and Rijksmuseum, and probably another one or two, at least.
I can see there are several different discount passes for the city, some include transportation; others are just for museums. I"m sure it's possible to compare them with a spreadsheet, but wondering if any of you experts can help!

National Museum Card would have paid also for entry to Anne Frank House - without that you'd have to go to several museums to make it a good deal but with that much time in town = that said last time I had one I went to so so many neat museums I would not have paid to enter perhaps - Maritime Museum, Jewish Historidcal Museum,
Remembrandt House, Hermitage from St Pete's branch museum; Lord in the Attic church; Dutch Resistance Museum, Troppen Museum (absolutely loved this eclectic place), and City of Amsterdam museum plus a few historic churches and the Royal Palace. Gives priority entrance at some.

Amsterdam is really walkable and transit passes IME not worth it. I think Museum Card is better deal for folks staying several days and wanting to go to more than the famous museums.

Sadly, we had not been able to get tickets to Anne Frank House ( a high priority for us as Jews), so when my daughter saw them on line, we just grabbed them.
We do love to walk the streets in a new city, and I wondered about whether we'd use the trains or buses. I am guessing only to get ourselves out of town!

Major public transport within Amsterdam is trams. For travel to other cities: train.
