Discount Business Tickets to Austria

I am going to Salzburg this September and would like help in locating a reputable agency selling discounted business class tickets. I hesitate to use ticket consolidators & I don't think I have enough frequent flyer miles to upgrade Thank you

I don't know where you're flying from, but very often discounted business class from major US west coast markets to Europe is available in the $2000-$2500 range directly from the airlines. I doubt that any consolidators have prices lower than this (but if you find one let me know). You may also want to price your intra-Europe flight into Salzburg separately for the best fares. I just checked some hypothetical dates in Sep and came back with over $6000 for LAX-SZG. But if I price LAX-VIE instead, it's about $2500 on Air France, AA, and Continental. You can then purchase your onward ticket to SZG separately or take the train to Salzburg.

Pattie, if you are flying from the New York area, there is a very good business class rate via Continental ($2,200). You can connect via either Frankfurt or Zurich. Also, if you go into the American Express site, the travel section, some of their rates are quite good. Czech Airlines is discounted on their site, but if you go into the Czech Airlines site, it is not. Also, Delta codeshares with Czech Airlines. When I want to know who flies where and when, I always go into the American Express site so that I have some idea where to start.
I, too, will be going to Salzburg. Wishing you a wonderful trip.

Hi Snowhoney21,
Today I was surprised to see business class air fare on 1800cheapseats.com from Tampa to Zurich for under $700 roundtrip. It was listed as Business class (I). I don't know what "I" means. I have never used them, but you might look into this. Good luck, Gladys

Gladys,
Where did you see this, on their website? Are you sure that it's RT and not one way? I class could be discounted business class on Delta. I believe I is also the discounted business fare class on AA. It's usually a non-refundable fare class that requires 45 day advance purchase, 7 day min stay, etc.
