I now always bring a large kitchen trash bag (Glad even makes vanilla scented) with a drawstring top, put dirty clothes in it and hang it by the drawsting around a hanger and hang in in the closet. I pull the top closed first. When I pack to leave, I may have to fold up some of the larger clothing, but leave it in the bag, close tightly and put the bag in the suitcase.

Now I am glad we are doing this for our worn undies. Never heard the advices above, just thought it's a proper thing to do.
When we are packing for a trip, I put a large empty bright plastic bag so it won't get confused with other bags, and this bag will be for our laundry. In the morning, before we leave the room, we just put it somewhere so it won't be in the way - in the suitcase, or in a draw, or on a shelf.
