But fret not. Things are getting better.
The "winner" (one to watch, as he was only number 2 last year) got the number of complaints against him to the local council down to six in 2007 - a spectacular 50% reduction on 2006. By the way, for anyone mad enough to risk a cheap night in Oxford, this bloke owns five other doss-houses along the city's Iffley Road. Worth checking, if you find a low rate in East Oxford, whether the place belongs to Bart Cronin. Who says, BTW, that all this publicity's not hurting him at all (http://tinyurl.com/2o5u3j) |
Worse than this - the Britannia hotel not too long ago killed 7 of their guests by overloading a van for transit to the airport - I have been passed the place and would not leave my dog there for half an hour.

Eeeeeeeew, gross!
It brought back memories of the most disgusting hotel that we stayed at in our lives. ...forgot the name, but it was near the airport in London. It was sooooooo disgusting, but we had no choice. Thankfully we did not have the child with us on that trip. |
It doesn't say a lot for the Britannia group, with 3 entries in the top 10! Number 3 is about half a mile from where I live and we've had company Christmas parties at both 3 and 10 (eek). A friend's ex has also got a wedding reception booked at 10 - I wonder if he'll tell her!!
