Directions in Florence

Looking for help in getting from the train station in FLorence to Hotel Villa Gabriele d'Annunzio. Is this is an easy (cheap) cab ride? Would 4 people need two cabs? Bus ride???

Hi ana,

Cab will be about 15-20E.

4 people with luggage might need two cabs if a van isn't available.

you can also email the hotel for directions if it's in walking distance.

They do have a web site that gives this information. They recommend a taxi for the 4 km trip. The taxis my wife and I have taken in florence would not hold four people with luggage, but we never looked to see if there were larger taxis.

Our family of 4 took one cab from the train station to our hotel. We did not have to look for any special, larger cabs. We just got in line and took the first one available and there was enough room for all of us and our bags. Granted we pack light, one carryon per person and a small daypack each.
