http://goeurope.about.com/library/weekly/aa080802a.htm

For starters, a map is helpful. If you’re not able to get one in whatever country you’re in, then usually can pick up a decent city map once you arrive – seek out the tourist office. Not sure if there’s a tourist ofc desk inside Padua train station; more likely it's nearby. Ask at informazione. The Station (Stazione Ferroviania) is on the north side of town. Either the Corso del Popolo or the Viale Codalunga heading south will take you into the old center of town.

Good afternoon, IBXXXX
check into www.unipd.it. Which has a
good street map of Padua. It is a walking town.. Would roughly estimate
the scale of the map at 1/2" = 500m.
Have read where the Scrovengi Chapel
has been closed for renovations and if
it is opened, required appointments
for entrance. Richard of LaGrange Park, Il..

Hi
Try www.multimap.com. They have zoomable maps.

Richard, I couldn't find the street map on the site you posted. Help!

Try this - the train station and the Scrovegni Chapel are in the upper left.

http://www.unipd.it/esterni/ammi/mappe/map/zoom/vivere.htm

It seems you can make reservations for the Scrovegni on line:

http://www.cappelladegliscrovegni.it/prenota1/index.asp?login=eng

When I was there the Scrovegni was closed, but I visited the museum at the adjacent Eremitani and thought it was very nice.

Thanks for all your replies. Does anyone know where exactly the tourist office is in Padua? How to get there if it's not in the train station?
