Direct flight from Izmir to Kayseri ?
 

Does anyone know if there is a direct flight connecting Izmir and Kayseri? I remember reading somewhere (either in a guide book or on the internet) that there are direct flights from between these two cities on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays; However, I searched the Turkish airline web site, thy.com, but could not find any direct flight. It only has flights from Izmir to Istanbul and then from Istanbul to Izmir, which feels redundant. If there isn't any direct connection then I'd probably just skip Izmir/ Ephesus altogether and just do Istanbul and Cappadocia for the two weeks that I have off. Thanks.

I think that Pegasus Air and possibly Onur Air have direct flights between Izmir and Kayseri. For us, their scheduling was very inconvenient and not particularly cheap. That was one reason we decided to drive to Cappadocia rather than doing a round trip of Roman ruins starting and ending in Izmir to then fly to Cappadocia. You should make a repeat trip to Turkey if you wish to continue to help new travelers.

I saw some direct flights for 80-100 TL, depending on the day of the week.

wwww.sunexpress.com 6 times a week direct flights between Izmir & Kayseri....Pegasus has also flights announced but they keep changing dates so until they are sure of the dates better to stick Sun Express.

Thanks for everyone's reply. I plan to leave for Turkey on 5/8 but haven't bought any plane ticket yet, so I better hurry up and book :).
